n The 52nd annual Labor Day Picnic sponsored by the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Central Committee will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 1 at Santa Rosa Park at the corner of Santa Rosa and Oak streets on Highway 1 in San Luis Obispo. Everyone is invited regardless of political affiliation.
A tri-tip barbecue will be served at noon, with kids special meals and vegetarian meals available. The event will feature live music, a bounce house, children’s playground and booths. Guest speaker will be State Senator Dean Florez.
