n The third annual San Luis Obispo Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation (SLOLEAF) Poker Run will be held July 19.
The run starts at Powerhouse in Paso Robles and runs 150 miles through the scenic areas of San Luis Obispo County and ends with a barbecue at Biddle Park in Arroyo Grande. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. July 19 or save $10 by registering before July 1.
SLOLEAF is a nonprofit corporation formed to provide immediate and temporary financial assistance to local law enforcement personnel, active or retired, and their families in their time of need due to death, serious injury, critical illness or other catastrophic circumstances.

n The fourth annual ALS Central Coast Century Bike Ride will be held July 19 to benefit the ALS Association, Greater Bay Area Chapter, the region that covers San Luis Obispo County.
The ride will be held at the Avila Beach Promenade in cooperation with the Avila Business Association and the Port San Luis Harbor District. Riders may ride individually or join a team.
