4-H News: Getting ready for County Fair

News from Nipomo Foothill 4-H. We are all getting excited and working hard every day to get our animals and projects ready for the Santa Barbara County Fair in July. We hope you will come visit us at the fair if you can.

We would like to thank you for your support at our fourth annual Pie Auction held at the Portuguese Hall in Arroyo Grande. We had a lot of fun and raised some money for our project groups. We would like to give a special thanks to all of the business that donated to our club: Jocko’s & Little Jocko’s, Jamba Juice, Jim’s Ammo Depot, Healing Touch, Trader Joe’s, Style of SLO, KK’s Bundt Cakes, Vanessa Nichols Arbonne, Rosa’s, Black Lake & Avila Golf courses, Mission Linen, Avila Hot Springs, Skyline Nursery & RC Farms for all of the pretty flowers, Paul Bright and Cindy Maddox and to Anthony Abatti, Trinie Martinez and Adrian Alvarado for the delicious barbecue. We would also like to thank Todd Ventura for auctioneering. He loves pies and we enjoyed him a lot. We had a great dinner and a fun time and we hope to see you all again at our fifth Pie Auction.

We also look forward to seeing you at the fair.

Anyone interested in becoming a new 4-H member or project leader, call Mary Jean Abatti at 929-5397.
